Blooming Haus Flowers for British Vogue’s Fashion & Film Party 2022

Loving the floral displays at British Vogue’s Annual Fashion and Film Party 2022?

That was us.

We were honoured and delighted when the opportunity presented itself. As the biggest stars of the screen prepped for the celebrated BAFTAs after-party, we got to work creating our distinctive Blooming Haus designs.

Here is your behind-the-scenes look at the setting.

Floral Artistry at the BAFTAs After-Party

1. Unrivalled Elegance at Annabel’s Mayfair

In 2022, British Vogue’s Fashion and Film Party in partnership with Tiffany and Co. took place at the elegant private members club Annabel’s in Mayfair.

The story of Annabel’s began in 1963, two doors down from its current location at 46 Berkeley Square.

The prestigious private members club has a well-earned reputation for glamour and intimacy. Home to celebration spaces including The Flower Room, The Silver Room, and The Nightclub & Jungle Bar, it was our pleasure to bring luxury floral design to this remarkable venue.

The decor is stylish and colourful and we welcomed the opportunity to complement it for such a special occasion.

After a spectacular red carpet at the BAFTAs, the biggest stars of the screen – including Lashana Lynch, winner of the BAFTA Rising Star award – headed to Annabel’s to celebrate the start of awards season.

The party was hosted by British Vogue editor-in-chief and Vogue’s European editorial director Edward Enninful.

It was a delight to see an array of stars including Emma Watson, Naomi Campbell, and Kate Moss surrounded by our blooms.

In installing our floral designs we accentuated memorable architectural features at Annabel’s, including the fireplace (which took centre stage as the backdrop for all the star-studded photographs from the night), a classical statue, and the venue’s iconic golden gorilla.

While doing so, we created a wonderfully immersive and harmonious flow throughout the entire space.

Inspired by the glamour of the entertainment world, we adorned the spiralling staircase with roses, delphiniums, spirea, tulips, Ammi, Veronicas, and hellebores.

Every aspect of our collaboration with British Vogue and event partners Tiffany & Co. was a privilege, and the results were admired by all who attended.

2. A Vogue and Tiffany & Co. Event

In 2022, the post-pandemic moment brought a marked shift towards sustainable and ethical haute couture, beauty, culture, and the runway.

Vogue and Tiffany and Co. had both set the bar for leading luxury brands, demonstrating what is possible through concerted effort and by amplifying the messages that matter.

While our floral work sought to reflect this new and progressive era for fashion, the crisis in Ukraine could not be ignored. British Vogue and Tiffany and Co. dedicated the event to raising funds for those affected by the conflict, and all attendees were encouraged to donate to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

We thoughtfully employed life-affirming colourways and textures that celebrated the beauty of the natural world – because at Blooming Haus, we believe hope is what inspires action.

By instilling a sense of hope in BAFTA attendees and onlookers from around the world, we aimed to reflect everyone’s shared role in building a brighter future.

We’re here to show that responsible, sustainable practice doesn’t have to be restrained. Our BAFTAs after-party installations were full of theatricality – because flowers have the power to change the mood, set the tone, and transform a space.

That is what we love most about what we do.

In a world that can feel dark at times, the beauty of flowers brings welcome light and joy – as does the world of entertainment.

3. The Place to be After the BAFTAs 2022

The BAFTAs is the United Kingdom’s biggest celebration of film and television excellence and we are honoured to have been a part of it.

It is a highlight of the entertainment calendar. The 2022 ceremony was the first to be held at full capacity since the pandemic, which made it feel particularly charged.

As host Rebel Wilson took to the stage of the Royal Albert Hall, there was a palpable sense of expectation.

The ceremony lived up to expectations, with the four main awards going to:

– Will Smith – Best Actor
– Joanna Scanlan – Best Actress
– The Power of the Dog – Best Film
– Jane Campion – Best Director

To celebrate the start of awards season, the glamour continued into the night at Annabel’s for the Fashion and Film after-party. Those attending included Lashana Lynch, fresh from her Rising Star award win, alongside Naomi Campbell, Emma Watson, Kate Moss, and Sienna Miller.

Having worked across many of London’s most prestigious venues – including Annabel’s, The Lanesborough, The Langham, and many more – we felt entirely at home creating stand-out designs for an occasion of this scale.

4. Immersive Florals Without Intrusion

Careful planning went into ensuring that our design process for the Fashion and Film Party 2022 was seamless and unobtrusive.

We pride ourselves on allowing our creativity to speak for us. We never interfere with the smooth running of an event.

Every aspect of the design and set-up was completed before the guests arrived. Once the event concluded, we quickly and quietly dismantled our designs, ensuring minimal waste throughout.

As with all our design processes, we began with detailed drawings in situ at Annabel’s before the event took place.

We complemented and enhanced the internal landscape of the venue – adding to the space rather than constraining it. Every detail was carefully considered so that guests would carry the memory of the fragrance and the atmosphere long after the evening was over.

Working alongside British Vogue and Tiffany & Co. – two of the most prestigious luxury brands in the world – is something we will not forget.

They join a distinguished list of brands we have had the pleasure of working with, including Bulgari, Mark’s Club, The Ivy Club, Tatler, Kate Spade NY, LK Bennett, and more.

5. Sustainable Floral Design

From the green energy that powers our studio to the cleaning products we use, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Blooming Haus.

Every aspect of our floral designs at the Fashion and Film Party 2022 was fully compostable. No plastics or toxic materials were used in the process.

To ensure minimal wastage when dismantling our displays at the end of the British Vogue and Tiffany & Co. event, we gave our blooms away – a small gesture to put a smile on the faces of those involved, including the team at British Vogue who invited us to be part of this special project.

When we begin working with a new corporate client, we dedicate a tree to be planted in the national forests to protect and restore biodiversity – and plant a new one each year in their honour. It is our way of thanking them for their trust and of symbolising our shared commitment to a more sustainable world.

Our mission is to minimise our carbon footprint in every aspect of our business. By sharing our environmental efforts with our clients and collaborators, we intend to keep Blooming Haus at the forefront of sustainability and positive change.
