25 Bridgerton Wedding Trends

1. Pastel Colour Palettes

Soft pastel hues were fashionable during the Regency period, and the series has brought them squarely back into wedding planning. These palettes work particularly well with floral arrangements – blush pinks, lavenders, and powdery blues complement most bloom varieties without competing with them – and translate equally well to indoor and outdoor settings.
The images above are from Cleo and Tom’s wedding – a palette of blush pinks, lavenders, and powdery blues, with touches of optimistic yellow for contrast and depth. We first identified this as a defining Bridgerton trend back in 2022, and it has only gained momentum since.

2. Wisteria & Ivy Decor

Wisteria and ivy are synonymous with the Bridgerton series. The Bridgerton family home is adorned with wisteria climbing its façade, creating one of the show’s most recognisable images.

If you’re considering incorporating wisteria into your wedding decor, it is best suited for weddings held in April and May when the blooms are at their peak. Our preferred approach is to hang wisteria garlands from the ceiling at reception, creating a canopy effect overhead.

3. Opulent Tablescapes

Fine china, ornate silverware, and abundant floral arrangements – the Bridgerton dining scenes have set a new benchmark for wedding tablescapes. Layered textiles such as velvet or silk for table linens, combined with centrepieces of lush blooms and trailing greenery, build the kind of density and richness that characterises the series’ interiors.
This example of our set-up at Raffles London shows the approach in practice – layered florals and tableware creating the kind of dining atmosphere the series’ ball scenes have made so desirable.

4. Periwinkle Blue Bouquet

Series 3 culminated in Colin and Penelope’s wedding – and with it, a notable departure from traditional white bouquets. Penelope walked down the aisle carrying a periwinkle blue bouquet, accented with mint green foliage and cream flowers, tied with ribbons and silk that harmonised with the venue’s decor.
This small posy shape works beautifully for petite brides. For guidance on matching bouquet styles to dress silhouettes, see our guide: Best Bouquet Shape and Style for Your Wedding Dress Silhouette.

Iris, anemones, and scabiosa are all beautiful blue blooms to consider for replicating this trend.

5. Fruit and Floral Combos

Mixing fruit with flowers was a hallmark of Regency-era entertaining, and it translates directly to a Bridgerton-inspired table. Grapes, berries, and citrus woven through floral arrangements add colour, texture, and volume to centrepieces – and from a practical standpoint, they fill out displays without requiring additional blooms.
This display, which we created at The Lanesborough, shows how the natural colours and textures of seasonal fruits complement delicate petals and greenery. The effect is sensory as well as visual – scent and colour working together across the table.

6. Floral Crowns

Portia Featherington and Kate Sharma are often seen throughout the series wearing floral crowns or hairpins. While elaborate floral crowns have not yet appeared in the show’s wedding scenes, this emerging trend fits naturally within the Regency aesthetic and suits a Bridgerton-inspired celebration.
A floral crown can be either dainty or dramatic and should be designed to enhance the dress rather than compete with it.

7. Pedestal or Urn Arrangements

Urn and pedestal arrangements are among the most direct visual references to Regency-era interiors. Overflowing with blooms and greenery, they create a commanding focal point – whether placed at ceremony entrances, along aisles, or as statement pieces at the reception. Their height and scale draw the eye upward, giving any space a sense of grandeur.

Roses, peonies, and cascading wisteria all work well in this format – the key is abundance.

8. Large Dramatic Floral Arrangements

Rather than distributing numerous smaller decorations across a space, a single large arrangement brings the Bridgerton sense of scale. A well-designed arrangement can also be multi-purpose: aisle runners can later serve as centrepieces, and grounded arrangements can be moved from the ceremony to the reception.
Scale is what separates a Bridgerton-inspired setting from a conventionally decorated one. One bold, generous arrangement will do more for a room than a dozen small ones.

9. Symmetrical Designs

Symmetrical floral designs reflect the balance and order of Regency-era architecture and garden planning. In contrast to the asymmetrical, loose-gathered styles that have dominated recent years, a mirrored arrangement feels deliberate and structured – qualities that suit a formal, period-inspired setting.
In the right venue – particularly Georgian or neoclassical spaces with existing architectural symmetry – this approach amplifies what the building already offers.

10. Boat Photoshoot

This trend draws directly from Series 2 and the memorable lake scene involving Anthony Bridgerton. A lakeside setting with a rowing boat adorned with florals creates a distinctly Bridgerton-inspired photo opportunity.
Euridge Manor is one of our preferred venues for this kind of scene – it captures the Bridgerton atmosphere beautifully. Add florals that complement the rest of your decor, and the result is a striking and memorable photograph.

11. Historic or Georgian Venues

For a Bridgerton-inspired wedding, London and the surrounding regions offer an unmatched selection of historic and Georgian venues. Among our preferred choices:

12. Garden Venues

Garden venues are ideal for a spring or summer Bridgerton wedding, providing the kind of lush, manicured backdrop that mirrors the series’ outdoor scenes. Among our favourites:
We recommend selecting a garden venue with covered options or a marquee, given the unpredictability of British weather.

13. Bridgerton-Inspired Invitations

Your invitations set the tone for the entire celebration. For Regency-inspired stationery, we work closely with Ink & Paper London – artisans who bring exquisite craftsmanship to every detail.

14. Personalised Wax Seals

A personalised wax seal created for your wedding invitations is a timeless keepsake – one that can be used long after the day itself. Wax seals also make thoughtful gifts for parents or loved ones during the planning process.

15. Handwritten Typography

Calligraphy and hand-lettered elements – on invitations, signage, or menus – are a natural fit for a Regency-inspired celebration. They add a layer of period authenticity that printed type simply cannot match.

16. Candlelit Dinners

Before electric lighting, candlelight was how every grand dinner was lit – and the warm, flickering quality it brings to a room is difficult to replicate by other means. For an evening reception, candlelight transforms a table setting entirely.
We offer a curated selection of premium candles and holders to complement floral arrangements. To discuss candle styling for your event, get in touch.

17. Vintage China

Period-appropriate tableware grounds a Regency-inspired table setting in a way that modern place settings cannot. Intricate patterns, gilt edges, and the tactile quality of antique porcelain immediately shift the register of a dining experience.
Sourcing vintage china also aligns with a sustainable approach to wedding decor – reuse over single-use.

18. Lace Detailing

Lace – whether on a dress, table linen, or accessories – carries an inherent connection to period fashion. Its intricate craftsmanship adds vintage character to bridal attire and decor, and it pairs particularly well with soft, loose floral arrangements.
For this shoot at Raffles London, we designed the floral arrangements with both the dress and venue in mind – ensuring the flowers complemented rather than competed with the lace detailing.

19. Classic Literature Favours

Gifting guests with novels or poetry collections from the Regency period is a favour that people will actually keep. Jane Austen, the Brontës, or Keats and Shelley all suit the theme – and pre-loved editions add authenticity while keeping the approach sustainable. Elegant bookmarks work well as a lighter alternative.

20. Regency-Inspired Wedding Cakes

For Regency-inspired cakes, we consistently return to one name: Cakes by Yevnig. We collaborate with her frequently, and her work sets the standard in wedding cake artistry.

We are selective about our recommendations, valuing collaboration among suppliers who are familiar with each other’s styles and working methods. This familiarity allows us to create more cohesive, harmonious designs.

21. Regency Dance Lessons or Performances

Whether incorporated into the reception or as part of pre-wedding celebrations, Regency dance lessons offer a memorable way to involve guests in the theme. The structured, partner-based dances of the period are inherently social – they get people moving and talking in a way that a standard first dance does not.

22. String Musicians

The Bridgerton series is known for its string-quartet covers of contemporary pop songs – a detail that has become one of its most imitated elements. Live string musicians set a graceful tone for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and they adapt well to both classical repertoire and modern arrangements.

23. Macaron Towers

Macaron towers appear in the series itself and translate well to a wedding dessert table. Their colourful tiers make a visual centrepiece, their individual serving size keeps things practical, and they can be colour-matched to the wider palette of the day.

24. Puffed Sleeves

Puffed sleeves are a signature of Regency-era fashion and feature prominently throughout the series. They add structure and drama to a bridal silhouette while remaining distinctly period-appropriate – a strong choice for brides who want their gown to carry the Bridgerton influence without relying solely on accessories or decor.

25. Elegant Short Gloves

Short gloves in lace or satin are a nod to Regency-era fashion – notably worn by Penelope for her wedding in the series. They complement a bridal gown without overwhelming it, and are considerably more practical than longer styles, which tend to slip.
